Blue Springs Shortest and Smallest St Patrick’s Day Parade 2008
The 31st annual Blue Springs “Shortest and Smallest” St. Patrick’s Day Parade takes place at 9am in, of all places, Blue Springs, Missouri.
The 2008 parade route runs just 66 feet from the Soda Fountain/Flower Shop at 1112 W. Main St. to the Gridiron Bar & Grill across the street.
While that is short it is not the shortest in the world. Nor is it the smallest. Think about it, you only have to get out of bed and break wind to have a shorter and smaller parade. But it is the shortest and smallest St Patrick’s Day Parade in the KC metro area - for now - and it’s been going on for donkey’s years.
