Blue Springs: KC Metro Area’s Shortest & Smallest St Patrick’s Day Parade
Again this year in the Kansas City region, the shortest and smallest parade is in Blue Springs.
Not quite the shortest or smallest in the world, for that is truly a very competive field, Blue Springs has tradition on its side.
It has been going on for thirty years, and I’d like to see more parades like this. There’s more on the history, the people, the other claimants to the titles of shortest and smallest, and the floats (yes, floats) when I wrote about the Blue Springs parade last year.
This year the Blue Springs St Patrick’s Day Parade is marching across the street from what was old Lowes Drugstore to the Gridiron Lounge.
The parade is scheduled to start at 9:00am, and to finish, oh about 9:00am
