8 Years of Wild Clover Banding
This Saturday, March 8, 2008, frequent visitors to Kansas City, Nebraska’s own The Wild Clover Band are celebrating their 8th year as a band.
And they’re doing it back where it all started at Thunderhead Brewery in Kearney, Nebraska.
It’s 8 years since bar owner Trevor Schaben of Thunderhead Brewery, got the gang interested in playing Irish music and booking them. 8 years that have seen countless appearances at Irish festivals and community events throughout the region. 8 years isn’t quite the Chieftains or the Dubliners, but it is practically Beatles territory.
WCB will be showing a video of one of their first gigs as a band.
Thunderhead Brewery is located at 18 E. 21st Street, in Kearney, NE. The gig starts at 9pm. If you’re in range, you could find yourself at a party.
And that reminds me - I loaned my copy of WCB’s CD Behind The Blarney to someone in Kansas City and em, well, they’re really going to love visiting me to give it back. Really.
