How Irish is Irish KC?
Well this will teach me to miss Trad Recitals and Live Irish music in pubs.
It’s always good to be humbled though.
Still, I have to wonder what the percentage of me that isn’t Irish is? Suggestions? Don’t be rude!
Let me know if the test rates you more Irish than it rated me.
You’re 40% Irish |
You’re probably less Irish than you think you are… But you’re still more Irish than most. |
Hmmm, 65% Irish. “You’re very Irish, and most likely from Ireland. (And if you’re not, you should be!)” Twas either knowin’ the answer ta the hurlin’ question or the GAA question that did it, that it did. Care for a pint, dearie? It’ll be breakfast time here soon enough.
Funny enough I was just about to - though I fear if I divulge of what that my % will plummet even further.
And I ticked the breakfast pint.
Hmm, lessee… a pint of…
tea = well, we already know you drink enough tea to have supported the East India Company’s annual earnings, so no change there.
Guinness = healthy Irish lad with good iron and other mineral levels.
whiskey = completely pished and blind drunk by dinner.
milk = good Irish lad lining his stomach for a hard night’s drinking of Guinness and whiskey.
I don’t see a problem here (except maybe whiskey pints for dinner?). Does anyone else?
Thanks, Eolai, much appreciated. Am off to bed now and can rest easy. Cheers!
50%. Only 50%. The DNA test I had done was all wrong then.
Breakfast pint ticked too. And a tan on just one hand.
10% Irish. “You’re not Irish. Not even a wee bit.
Not even on St. Patrick’s Day!”. Works for me.
Ditto, Primal. I received the 50% score as well.
The questions clearly were designed with a man in mind. I’ve never had a breakfast pint.
But I’m a man Medbh, honest, and I scored lower than you even with that (those) breakfast pint(s).
I’m going to have to do up my own test to at least prevent the notion taking hold that I might be an American trapped in an Irish body.
That sounds like a good plan, Eolai, to make up your own quiz. The questions in the other one were reliant on many base stereotypes and very little on education. Especially the one about having most of your meals cooked by someone’s mother. I’m guessing that that doesn’t apply to many women.
Oh, and I was sitting at a pub’s patio last night and am now riddled with mosquito bites, just like you.
75%. “You’re very Irish, and are probably from Ireland.” Um…not. I’m 25% Irish, with an Irish-born grandfather, and 25% Scottish, with a Scottish-born grandmother. My poor da was half and half. He beat himself up coming and going.
