Happy Mothers Day. Or Not
This is one of those things we do differently, in Ireland and in America. Today is Mothers Day in Ireland, or Mothering Sunday if you prefer.
So Happy Mothers Day to you. If you’re my mother, that is. Otherwise go about your business.
Or I suppose you could look at this as a reminder to wish your Irish mother a Happy Mothers Day, if she is actually Irish that is. If she’s American you can relax and wait a couple of months with the added bonus of being able to wish any mother you know a Happy Mothers Day.
So if your mother is Irish you could make a Kansas City phonecall to an Irish Mother
Other Holidays in Ireland & the US:
• Valentine’s Day
• New Year’s Eve
• Fathers’ Day
• Thanksgiving
• Christmas Eve
• Easter Sunday
• Halloween
• MLK Day
• Fourth of July
• Columbus Day
• Christmas
• The Twelfth
I thought its UK only having mothering sunday. I didnt know that in Ireland also there is mothering sunday. But I am confused, UK mothering day is on March and for Ireland, when is it?
It’s exactly when this post was posted, which is what it says in the post (2nd sentence), and why the post has the heading “Happy Mother’s Day”.
I must be in a good humour to let spammy links through, though my mood can easily be reversed.
