Gerald Trimble in Midtown Kansas City, MO
Here’s a great gig for those of you who may be Irish for more than a few days a year.
Gerald Trimble, a man you very rarely get a chance to see perform, is playing his next concert on April 19, 2008.
It takes place at the Aquarius/Vulcan’s Forge performance space at 3936 Broadway, in Kansas City, Missouri’s midtown, and it starts at 8pm.
“Henry Purcell and the Pirates” will feature Celtic roots music of the 17th and 18th centuries from England, Scotland, Ireland and beyond, performed on original instruments of the period.
So if by any chance youmange to hear some Irish or Celtic music over the next few days, and it reminds you that you’d really like to hear more, why not go and listen to one of the greats from the area?
Fo r some background on Gerald Trimble you can read what I wrote the last time you were so lucky - when Trimble played his first gig in Kansas City for 5 years.
