Events at the Triple P Irish Pub in Greenwood, MO
While I’m not slow to go on about the Kansas City metro area losing an Irish Pub through fire or just losing Irish pubs in general, I should remind people that one of the newest Irish pubs in the metro area, the Greenwood BBQ & Triple P Irish Pub, is becoming an increasingly important venue for the Irish community.
On the Events Calendar I have just added a couple of more gigs at the Triple P. In April you can see Bob Reeder (Fri April 14), The Lucky Charms (Sat April 20), and Flannigan’s Right Hook (Sat April 27)
Speaking of Flannigan’s Right Hook, Kathy Payne of the Greenwood BBQ & Triple P Irish Pub - I still liove that name - was telling me a story about FRH’s appearance there last weekend:
We had Flannigan’s Right Hook play here Sat. March 24th. Shane had to play with the KC Symphony before they came here, so Cameron & Mikey played alone to start. Then at 11, Shane made his entrance, dressed in a tux & tails, white vest & tie! Dashing! Then he kicked off his shoes & socks & started in playing his fiddle in a tux & barefoot! Those that waited out the show were tickled to death! They were awesome! Shane said he had played at a wedding before the Symphony also! What a guy! He was begging for a red bull when he got here! Ha!
Red Bull? Whatever happened to a large pot of tea?
