England V Ireland in Rugby on TV in KC
We’ve been here so many times before. Right now people in Ireland are wearing green shirts in pubs. And people in Kansas City are wearing green in pubs.
But both groups are doing it for different reasons.
In Ireland people are watching the last Irish game of this 6 Nations competition. It’s at Twickenham.
I called The Gaf for you because that Irish pub on Wornall has been by far been the venue most friendly towards showing you Ireland play rugby on TV.
Often because of the cost that Setanta impose, The Gaf show the game on time delay.
Anyway when I asked The Gaf if they were showing the rugby today they said they didn’t know, and asked me to call back at 11. Since the game started at 10am (KC time) I’m taking that to mean they’re not showing it live.
And since I’m watching it live here in Dublin, I can tell you that Ireland roared off to a 10 point lead including a great try. All the commentators said that Ireland’s coach Eddie O’Sullivan couldn’t have scripted it better. However since he’s a lousy writer, obviously, he could have. Since then it’s been practically all England and they now lead 13 points to 10 including an all too easy try. The whistle has just gone for half-time.
I don’t like rugby and will be perfectly happy if Ireland lose.
