Corned Beef: Long Comment Alert
Because it’s long, very long, I’m pointing you at a comment on Corned Beef & Cabbage.

It would be long if it was a post, so I probably should have made it one. But this way you can scroll up to see where it fits in the thread of comments.
Note the distinction between talking about corned beef, and talking about the meal of corned beef & cabbage. One is Irish, the other is no more Irish than lamb & turnips. Ultimately you need to consider what it is that defines anything as being Irish.
