The latest Chat from Christy Moore is out, and it’s mostly a review from the man himself of gigs in Wexford, Cork, and Clonakilty.
Larry Kirwan’s old mate, the great Pierce Turner was at the Wexford gig, the Cork gig was a special stand-up gig for the Simon Community, and Clonakilty was a purple patch that we now all want to hear a recording from.
I’ll be in Clonakilty myself in a couple of days, but too late for Christy who has now posted a very impressive list of venues for forthcoming gigs. His album of him performing live at Dublin’s Point Theatre/Depot has recently risen to one of Ireland’s most popular albums - becoming Christy’s most popular. When he hits a purple patch live, be very grateful if you get to hear it.
As ever, I recommend the archive of Christy’s Chat as much as possible.
