Celtic Rock at Kansas Festival
Big bagpipe sound. Fiddles playing tunes from Celtic lands. Rock guitars. Bass. Drums. Swishing kilts of tartan. Swish. And the didgeridoo.
Well, lets be honest have you ever heard a little bagpipe sound? Or are you still thinking about the didgeridoo?
If you fancy travelling a little bit to hear some big Celtic Rock in Kansas - and I know you don’t for you’re not the travelling kind - NeedFire from Texas are playing at the Smokey Hill River Festival over in Salina, Kansas on June 12, and 13, 2009.
Fans of big Celtic Rock can’t but like NeedFire. Personally I like my didgeridoo alone with nobody else around. And I like the great highland bagpipes alone without even me around.
The Smoky Hill River Festival actually goes on for 4 days - from June 11-14, 2009 and admission buttons go on sale from May 1. (Admission is by button only $7 in advance, or $10 at the gate)
In 2009 NeedFire are touring in support of their new CD, their 4th, called “Chasing Orion”, and they’ll performing at festivals all over America.
