Celtic Pottery in Kansas City
On Sunday November 30, 2008 from 1-4 pm you have the opportunity to create your own piece of Celtic Pottery.
Timed so you can give away for Christmas whatever you create, should you be especially happy or unhappy with your Celtic designs on your own pottery, I believe this is a unique opportunity and one I’ve often heard many people express a desire for.
Large plates, paints, designs, equipment - all supplies needed - and instruction by local artist Mike Dugger provided. Will need to get plate fired after painting.
I think that means that everything you need is provided, so all you need to do is book, pay and turn up.
The Irish community in KC knows Mike Dugger well from current trad bands Glen Road and Kelly, and of course from Scartaglen back in the day.
If I remember correctly Mike was funded somewhat earlier in the year, for a Celtic pottery painting class this fall, by a grant from the Kansas City Irish Festival.
Cost
$35/person/1 plate, limited seating.
Information
RSVP to 816-474-3848, info@irishmuseum.org (or for questions). Pay at the door that day. Cash, check or credit card.
This event is posted on the Kansas City Irish events calendar.
