Benedictine College Slow Session News

Versions of the Benedictine College Slow Session Tune and Song books are now available in PDF format at the BC site.

You are enouraged to download and print for your own personal use. The session up in Atchison, Kansas will have a few copies available every Wednesday, however it will no longer lend any out due to books getting lost.

This week the tunes that will be learned during the 7:30 - 8:30 class are the songs: The Fields of Athenry, Star of the County Down, and Red is the Rose.

There will also be the practice of the polkas and Reels from the last two weeks: Eagan’s, Britches Full of Stitches, Maid of Ardagh, Spootiskerry, and Willaford.

You’ll also want to keep an eye on that site for news about concerts and ceilis which currently are in the process of being scheduled. And I need to add the weekly Wednesday sessions to the KC Area Irish Events calendar.
