A Plea for Patrick’s Patience
Not Patrick himself, but the world around him.
Irish KC deals with all thing Irish in the Kansas City region, in some other places, and in my breadbin. As such, this being the build up to St Patrick’s Day there are thousands of pages getting viewed here every day.
So? Well, that means a few things:
1. I’m getting tons of emails - apologies if I’m slow in replying. You’re not being ignored. Well you are, but in rotation.
2. Irish KC is getting spammed to death - apologies that this distracts me but I’m having difficulties getting automated spam-fighting stuff to work so I’m kind of busy fighting it all by hand, and heroically too if I say so.
3. I’m getting daily requests intended for performers, restaurants, and small domestic animals - I am not any of those; I merely write about them.
4. Comments have increased - because of the manual fight against spam I have all comments moderated but I only block spam, not comment I dislike or disagree with. If you’ve commented and it hasn’t appeared yet then I am either out with my dog discussing the Louisiana Purchase, or I haven’t received the notification yet (which is going slower due to the increased traffic)
Also, if I haven’t responded to your comment, that’s just in reality. In my imagination I have read and replied very eloquently; it just may take some time to grab those thoughts and join in with your conversation.
Bear with me, soon we will all be drunk urinating in green and the world will be normal.
Go read all my cartoons again - or every one of the conversations. I dare ya.
