8 Years, 5 Months, 2 Weeks and 3 Days
As I head to the airport to return to Ireland, I can’t help but be aware of how long I’ve lived in America.
Which makes today the same as all the rest.
While I have a running joke on this site about having no friends in town, the truth of course is much different and the increasing number of friends I’ve made over the last 8 and half years are not easy to leave.
A big surprise for me was that Irish KC itself would play such a role in defining who those friends are.
We’ve had a blast at times and we will again when I come back to visit, but mostly now we’re down to an online existence.
So Kansas City, I leave you my love. And so much more.
