As well as liking birds, I like shapes, not just the shapes of things, but the shapes of nothings - of the spaces between things. Throw in some birds and you have this painting. (Note: For the record I didn’t actually throw the birds into the painting; they flew into the scene I was painting)
This painting continues around the sides, so in theory can be hung without a frame. The sides are 3/4 of an inch thick and painted almost black.

The blue in this painting is a bit darker than represented here I’d say, and again there are glimpses of red around parts of the edges of the birds which aren’t coming out so well, if at all, on the photo.
