I used to work on a racecourse. My grandparents used to live on a racecourse, so the whole place was their back garden. I liked it a lot, but I liked it most on race days. Part of my job was spent int he parade ring. This painting is of a man watching the parade ring as a horse goes by, both with and without its jockey.
