I once walked 80 miles through Cumbria, south to north from Ulverston to Carlisle, where I saw 800 kinds of shape. There were the all-white sheep and the all-black sheep, the black-headed otherwise all-white sheep, and every combination of pieces of sheep that were black or white in between. So this is a painting of lilac sheep.
