The 3rd, yes third, in the series of paintings by Muckish Mountain in Donegal as seen from the small road that runs behind the Derryreel mountains in north Donegal. (The 2nd painting in the pseudo-panoramic series is called simply “Muckish”, with “By Muckish 1″ depicting scene to left and “By Muckish 2″ the scene to the right)
For background to this image you could read my Chronicles of the Cottage. I loved walking in that bog though. There’s straight grassy track that runs through it past the mountain (and what a mgnificent mountain) that used to be where the railway went.
By Muckish 2 is painted on the sides, which are 0.75″ wide:
