Studio
Things are relatively quiet on this part of Irish KC at the moment, because things are changing again.
After the misadventure that was the short life in an Irish Cottage I am now living in Dublin and will be for the forseeable future (I can see at least one year into the future).
Since returning to Dublin from the cottage I have concentrated on finding somewhere to paint. That quest has been successful but I’ve decided not to talk about the studio I now have until I start producing paintings. Call it a legacy of the cottage experience.
I’m still moving things into there, but I’m only days away from painting again, and in a dedicated space.
The plan is to have another big art sale next month, with paintings of all sizes at very affordable prices, and to be able to offer them in time to ship them anywhere for Christmas. If you’re a regular reader you’ll know that I’m a great man for the plans.
Before all that I’m hoping to share pictures and words of what I think is a wonderful space in Dublin to paint, and how the new paintings are going.
You’ll be the first to know.

Keeping my fingers crossed for you!
I waited too long to buy one last time out and when
I decided, those I liked had been snaffled. This time I’ll be first in the queue.
Delighted to hear you’re back in action.Plans are great things to have lying around the house. You never know when you find yourself in need of one.I’ve gone through loads of them.
I’m looking forward to the sale.I can’t have a lonely painting now can I?
Martha - Thanks
Sniffle - Hope I can meet expectations.
Devin - Paintings are actually herd animals. I forgot to mention that.
I believe the collective noun for a group of paintings would be “panoply”. That’s the one I would use, but I might be wrong. An artist trying to sell multiple works might say “a plethora of paintings”. A curator hanging a show might call it “a predicament of paintings”.
To paraphrase Ernest Hemingway (he was talking about cats) “One painting just leads to another.”
Congrats on finding a studio, Eolai.
May you be filled with inspiration!
Martha - I like that use of predicament.
Medbh - Thank you so much.
