Stoneking Irish Step Dancers offers Lessons in Missouri
Alas Stoneking is not a new verb. Monica Moore Stoneking is teaching Irish step-dancing lessons in Columbia, Missouri.
According to the Columbia Tribune Monica, through her Stoneking Irish Step-Dancers offers recreational Irish step-dance lessons to underprivileged girls in Columbia, Missouri.
Targetting girls aged 5-13, the new home-based business is remarkably cheap. A former teacher of Irish dancing in Kansas City for several years, Stoneking believes that “the dance classes provide an opportunity for girls to learn how to appreciate Irish music, culture and gain new friends in the process”.
Opened: Wednesday
Hours: 6 to 7:30 pm Wednesdays.
Costs: Girls from Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Missouri pay $5 per lesson. Others pay $10 per lesson.

In the future Stoneking plans to provide classes on Saturdays, and she also hopes to expand the dance lessons to include boys.
