Setanta Broadband Offers Faster Viewing Speed
Anybody who has tried Setanta Broadband to watch Irish sports before and wished it offered better resolution enabling a bigger viewing onscreen area will be pleased with this news.
Setanta Broadband are now introducing the ability to watch at 600Kbps (assuming your own connection has that capability, of course)
To date Setanta Broadband have offered speeds of 300Kbps and 400Kbps, and the 300Kbps medium resolution speed will still be available for people with connections not up to showing the fast 600Kbps.
It should be noted that as well as this upgrade from September 1, 2007, Setanta Broadband will also be introducing “a slight price increase on the cost of a monthly subscription, which will rise from $11.99 to $14.99″. In which language exactly would you describe a 25% increase in price as slight?
However, annual rates remain frozen at $149.99 which suddenly seems like a bargain now that your monthly subscription is increasing by $36 over a year.
The entire Rugby World Cup 2007 will be included as part of an annual subscription, and Ireland probably for the first time are one of the favoured teams to do well. Well at least of the Northern Hemisphere teams they are.
Currently in Kansas City, if social viewing is more your thing, The Gaf merits the best regard for its service to Rugby fans, and if at all possible they’ll be showing as much of the World Cup live. Bear in mind that it’s in France which is seven hours ahead of KC time (most of the year).
And if you’re really interested in Irish culture you might be interested in Ireland’s unique Gaelic Games the All-Ireland finals of Hurling and Gaelic Football are held in September and available on Setanta Broadband.
