Parades a Plenty
It’s another day of parades in the Kansas City area. See the St Patrick’s Day guide for details.
The Kansas City Star has a report on yesterday’s Brookside, North KC, and Lee’s Summit parades - including a link to a bunch of photos.
Apologies to anybody who was at the Brookside parade yesterday and wasn’t standing at the corner of Wornall and 63rd, as that was the only spot where I managed to play a correct note.
I was one of the Bloomsday Books group playing tin whistles. If you’re interested, the name of the tune we played was Drink, Puppy, Drink. It does have words, but we didn’t sing them until several bottles of wine hours after the parade.
And I didn’t wave to anybody because I was concentrating on reading my crib notes on my fingers. Oh, and I was nervous. So I saw an awful lot of the yellow line. I haven’t looked forward so much in a long time to a drink, puppy, drink.
