Paddy Power for AIDS Sufferers
Father Patrick Power, the Newfoundland Priest of Irish Ancestry we told you about on Irish KC back in April, is featured in today’s Kansas City Star in a lengthy article.
When Father Paddy talks of a long, crooked road, he is speaking of more than how he, the son of a poor cod fisherman, should end up a priest in Kansas City. And he’s speaking of more than how, in the rooms beneath the rectory, he has created furniture and caskets that, in the last decade, have raised more than $50,000 for needy Thai children
There’s much more of Father Paddy’s fascinating story in this article by Eric Adler than was in the Arizona Daily Star’s, and it’s such an ongoing fabulous story that I’m going to mention it every time it surfaces, and more.
If you’re planning on dying, this is where you need to get your coffin.
