New CD Coming From Lucky Charms
The Lucky Charms, say they are recording a new CD soon.
It will be the first with new members, Heather Mellott, Lance Laven and Tim Daniels. Some recordings from the Charms more recent practices will be getting posted on their website so you can hear the new sound.
Through previous lineup changes the Charms have retained their trademark vocal harmonies, so I wouldn’t be expecting them to lose them in their latest incarnation.
The Lucky Charms play traditional and contemporary Celtic songs, with the odd unexpected cover thrown in to mix things up a bit. They are still the only Irish band in the Kansas City area that I have heard play anything by the Violent Femmes.
Cricket says the Charms‘ first CD is no longer available so if, like me, you have a copy, you now have yourself a rarity.
