KC Area Celtic Pub 1st Anniversary Party
In the ever changing landscape of Irish pubs and Irish-related pubs in the Kansas City area, it’s nice to see one of the newer establishments becoming, well, established.
Llywelyn’s Pub, denoting itself as “Celtic for Good Times” (I just dare ya suggest what might be “Celtic for Bad Times”. Ah go on), is celebrating its 1st anniversary on Thursday, July 17, 2008 with a party!
And a work day, no less!
Music is being provided by Kansas City’s favourite Bluegrass, Country ‘n’ Irish band, Flannigan’s Right Hook.
Remember, you can’t go lamenting a closed down pub if you don’t actually go to the pub in the first place. And where else in the KC area are you going to find a pub that exists to celebrate the food and drink of Ireland, Scotland and Wales?
If it’s the food & drink of the Celtic nations of Cornwall, Brittany, and Isle of Man, that you were a wanting to celebrate, well perhaps there’s a gap in the market for you.
The Overland Park Celtic pub features “a beautifully restored, 1880’s, Brunswick, Balke and Callender Bar, brass saloon chandeliers, a private room known as “The Snug” and tons of charm and character. Is it possible that nobody in KC actually knows what a snug is?
Congratulations to this OP addition to the St Louis chain, and party on! Flannigan’s Right Hook go on at 9pm.
Llywelyn’s Pub is located all the way out there at 6995 W 151st St in Overland Park, Kansas.
