Irish Mother’s Day
If you’re reading this in America, and you have a mother in Ireland, well you may want to know that today is a day many people are going to make a phone call to an Irish mother, typically their own, at least because they forgot to get a card.
Sunday, March 18, 2007 is Mother’s Day in Ireland. And Britain for that matter. Or you can do nothing and use the excuse that Mother’s Day in the US doesn’t occur until May.
You seem to have recovered well from the Paddy’s Day excesses.
I think it’s fair to say I’m rather tired - and more from the month building up to it than yesterday itself. Though yesterday did involve starting the day by working through the previous night and then cycling several miles to begin drinking at 8:30am as I watched the three rugby games.
Plenty more, em, cycling, occurred before grabbing a couple of hours sleep and getting up at 6:00am today. Long day.
