Connie Dover & Skip Gorman in Lawrence, KS
Connie Dover is playing along with Skip Gorman on September 26, 2008 7pm in Lawrence, Kansas in a West Side Folk presentation.
Skip is a singing, guitaring, fiddling, mandolinist described as having “a scholar’s knowledge of the cowboy’s Celtic, Spanish and Afro-American roots as well as the personal experience gained by working as a cowboy”.
Connie Dover is very well known to fans of Irish folk music in the Kansas City and Lawrence area, and bridges that gap from Irish songs to the folk music of the American West.
West Side Folk have previously presented Irish music by Bohola, Aoife Clancy, and Gerald Trimble, and from Scotland Dougie MacLean
