Chapelizod Stile
This is an awful painting, though in my defence it’s not finished.
I post it here now because I referred to it in my recent post on my Dublin Daytrip to Deerfield, and you know how I like to back things up.
Aside from the fact that the stile of the title is not even painted in yet, I’ve repeatedly been unhappy with most of the painting, so I don’t see it being finished any time soon even if it and my paints are freed from storage.
If I do ever finish this then the building will be completely repainted.
And knowing me, so will everything else.

I’m pretty sure you’re not fishing for compliments, Eolai, so I’ll give you one or two: I DO like this painting, the motion in the sky, the fall of the light, and the mystery in it. What’s in the building? What’s behind the wall? I’m telling myself stories evoked by this painting, and I’m only able to see it online. Hope you’ll finish it, or at least do another one of this subject.
