In the last couple of years I’ve found myself in Dalkey for many a fine night. And frequently on the cycle home the next day I detour to take in the harbours of Dublin’s south coast, sketching and photographing. Boats are great shapes and this, perhaps the most striking of the paint jobs there is the third of 3 paintings I did based on the boats at Coliemore Harbour in Dalkey.
