List of Irish Blogs
Yesterday the Irish Blog Awards released their long list of nominations for this year’s awards.
With over 900 nominations in over 20 categories it’s a very long list, or list of lists if you prefer - and it will come down a bit as people remove themselves for various reasons and the miscategorized also get removed.
This is the point where it is the greatest resource for checking out new Irish blogs, or indeed the state of Irish blogging today. There’ll be excitement when we get to the more maneageble shortlists, and I’ve been lucky enough to have made a couple of them in the past, but now, in their raw long form, the lists give you an opportunity like no other to discover and explore Irish blogging.
This year I’ve picked up 3 nominations myself - Best Arts & Culture Blog (sponsored by Poetry Ireland), Best Specialist Blog (sponsored by iQ Content) and Best Personal Blog (sponsored by Microsoft Ireland’s Development and Platform Group) - so thank you, but more on that later. For now just discover and enjoy so many blogs especially in this time when blogging in Ireland is dead.
