Whenever I’ve stayed in the west of Ireland I’ve always loved that you can just pick a mountain at random and go up it. I know you’re not supposed to be wearing jeans, and you probably should have an ordnance survey map in your hand, but as much as I adore maps I also like going up mountains and down them again without knowing what they’re called. Sometimes I never find out.
