Immigrant Pantomime & Games

An AP article reports that hundreds of pro-immigrant advocates from all over the US are heading to Washington today, under the We Are America Alliance, a loose coalition of the nation's biggest pro-immigrant groups. I'm waiting for Kris Kobach to form the Oh No You're Not Alliance.

There could be as many as 1,000 activists traveling, including some Irish, though personally I'm looking forward to the day when thousands of black Irish people emigrate to the US.
More than 100 Irish immigrants from nearly a dozen states also were on the way, said Kelly Fincham, executive director, of the Irish Lobby for Immigration Reform. We're targeting 100 congressmen - we'll be knocking on people's doors, she said.
I think it would be funny if the Irish pro-immigrant advocates knocked on doors of 100 congressmen but ran away before they could be answered.

Knocking on people's doors is a very Irish activity. It doesn't happen much here in Kansas City by comparison. If you're an immigrant and you left your home country with the habit of knock-knock-knocking on doors, you learn to stop quick enough.
