Teada Homecoming

Friends of Kansas City, and Columbia, Missouri, Teada have finished their US tour, and tonight play Sligo, home to fiddle player Oisin Mac Diarmada and flute-player Damien Stenson.

The Sligo Weekender reports that Teada recently performed to a 17,000 capacity audience at the famous Bercy Stadium in Paris, though tonight's gig should be a touch more intimate.

This month sees the release of the band's third album on the Gael Linn label with an accompanying DVD documentary that seeks to explore one of the band's influences, the rich musical culture of the Sligo region.
Featuring on the DVD are key local musical figures Peter Horan, Paddy Ryan and Verona Ryan
