Téada in Midwest

Irish trad band Téada, our old friends from the KC Irish Fest of the last two years, are in the Chicagoland area later this month as special guests of Bohola at the Old Town School of Folk Music.

There's also talk of a surprise guest at the April 22 gigs but if you didn't know about the event then I guess it's all one big surprise.

Téada were heroic at both KC Irish Fests with scheduling meaning that they had to go up against local superheroes The Elders, and against fireworks, and in the brief storm of two years back finishing their set on the Pub Stage without missing a beat. From Sligo in Ireland,Téada are a wonderful bunch of musicians.

I last saw Oisín, Tristan and the boys at the after-party of last year's KC Irish Festival, and I for one said some very profound things.
