Larry Carter with Kelly Doughterty

Larry Carter is playing the FRIDAY night concert series at Signs of Life Coffee Shop, Bookstore & Art Gallery in downtown Lawrence, Kansas. April 7th, 8:00-9:30pm

Free admission. Larry will be performing original songs, traditional English dance tunes, Celtic hymns, and improvisational compositions, plus telling the stories behind the music. Featuring Steinway grand piano, baritone cittern and acoustic guitar.

Larry is getting over a cold right now, so Kelly Dougherty is coming in from Kansas City for some of the vocals. Kelly just had a successful weekend with the Missouri Valley Folklife Society Máirtín de Cógáin concert, and is one of the best known Celtic singers in the region for her work over the years with the Celtic band "Shenanigans" and with the MVFS.
