Parades a-Plenty

For those who can't make it to the big City event on the school day that is Friday 17th, this Saturday, March 11, sees the traditional neighbourhood parades that are always so popular with families:

At 11 a.m. is the 22nd annual Snake Saturday Parade in North Kansas City. A carnival, BBQ, arts & crafts, and a petting zoo also feature.

At 2 p.m. the 26th annual Brookside St. Patrick’s Day Warm-Up Parade, has more than 90 entries including clowns, drill teams, bands and horses.

Also at 2 p.m., Lee’s Summit’s 1st Emerald Isle Parade starts at Doherty & Sullivan’s Irish Goods store, with 42 entries.

And on Sunday, March 12, Martin City have their parade out at 135th & Oak. Starts at 2pm.

Pop along and wave at somebody you know.
