John Spillane for KC Festival

The KC Irish Fest blog reports that John Spillane will be performing at the Kansas City IrishFest for the first time in 2006.

From Cork, Spillane is a much-regarded songwriter whose songs have been covered by many greats of the trad world. And in his own right as a singer and musician he garnered a second Meteor Ireland Music Award this year for Best Folk / Traditional Irish Music Act. Talented at playing the guitar while horizontal, John Spillane should go down well in Kansas City.
