Living in Kansas City
Living in Kansas City prompts Europeans to wonder about our living conditions when the region makes the international news. Well, Saturday was a perfectly beautiful day in the suburbs, an unseasonably warm 24 degrees centigrade that had men jogging topless past expensive houses.
On Sunday the tornado warning sirens sounded through much of the day, as unseasonably early storms blew ferociously across Kansas and Missouri. With scores of tornados, hail, floods and winds there has been much destruction, and tragically, loss of life.
Right now it is -5 degrees centigrade, coming at the end of a day when it was unseasonably cold and nobody was running topless on the trail - apart from that man with the really hard nipples. Living in Kansas City? Unseasonable.
