I found this site via searching for any info on DC Nein. I knew DC NEIN from 79-80 while I was mixing U2. Phil Kavanagh was DC's manager & also U2's driver. Dublin was a small scene, if you walked around enough corners you met yourself coming back. For want of something to do & U2 having a deliberate under-expose policy, I found myself travelling more with DC than U2. There were other aspects too, like DC being from near my home, more the same not-well-off as me rather than U2, a more socially upmarket gathering. What I'm looking for now is any info on Phil Kavanagh & Tony O'Meara, DC's sound engineer. Tony was like me a musician doing sound & conversations with him were illuminating to say the least. I have no info of any kind as to where they might be, the last-known being Phil's parents' address, which sad to say produced no replies after many letters. Is writing to Irish In Kansas a desparate move? You bet it is, but why not? If you don't ask the answers always no, & maybe sometimes paths cross in a most unusual way. Whatever the results I'll be back later for a deeper look into this site; it looks good. Thanks for the time & thanks for the ideas here.
