I kind of feel sorry for the Sammarinese, to have gone so close. I'm not a reactionary sort but I felt Cyprus clearly illustrated Stuanton's incompetence at this level, and could the FAI need any more proof than this to admit they made a huge mistake in appointing him. A new manager now would have a chance to try things out before the World Cup campaign. Of course in fairness the FAI executives responsible for Stan's appointment should be going also. Amazing stuff. I saw it all and will now spend the next while trying to regain my sense of reality. Dreadful described the match. You were saved brain damage ! As regards Setanta Sports, surely they would benefit from screening our Matches to your audience. As it is they are gaining negative reports. Hopefully they read your Blog and get their act together. Tonight though... a narrow excape is what it is being called but in reality, how can we accept such a result from a team ranked 195 in the rankings. Avoided a disaster so maybe that was the wake up call needed for our footballing authorities. Maybe they will take note this time but I fear not.
