I was just there for lunch and had a very postive experience! The service was good and the food good too. I noticed that other reviews were older…so please give J Murphy’s a chance! I am planning to go back…hope you try it too!

I have played music there ,and will be playing there a couple of times in the next month, maybe I’ll try to learn some irish tunes in order to authenticate your experience!

I have enjoyed both meals on the two visits I have made to J Murphy’s Irish Pub and Grille. I received great food and service !!! I plan on being there again this Thursday with about 12 friends.

We have gone 3 times and have vowed never to go back. They served my husband a corned beef sandwich ON A BUN and he had to ask for thousand island dressing. I was served club soda with limes that was supposed to be a Mojito (from their drink menu). The bartender said she was out of fresh mint so they substituted Bacardi’s mix. huh?

I always get a kick out of a restaurant using the excuse they were “swamped” during meal hours. How can this happen? I mean, isn’t feeding people the business you’re in? And isn’t the appearance of crowds of hungry people what you opened your doors for? Is success that difficult to handle?
Really, if having so many (and apparently surplus) customers is going to affect your ability to transact the business you claim to be conducting, perhaps you might be better suited to another business altogether. Or maybe we should all go to another restaurant better suited for serving customers and making money, freeing you of any need to provide customer service to anyone.

thanks for that Jem. It does sound similar to the teething problems that practically all the Irish pubs have gone through, mind you some of them never did improve. We’ll see, and it’s no great surprise I suppose on the lack of Irish front.

Went to J Murphy’s several weeks ago. There was nothing Irish about. The food was mediocore at best and the service, well after sitting there for 20 minutes my husband went up front and asked for a server. She took another 10 minutes to get to us. Her excuse was they were swamped. There were actually more employees running around the place then there were customers. We placed bets on the closing date. It looks like it will follow in the fated foot steps of those who occupied the space before it (Zig & Macs and Rock Rose)
