Medbh - I did thanks, even lovelier than the photos suggest.

Chris - Aye. I wouldn't put money on a completion date though.

stwidgie - Thank you. I hadn't thought about my attraction to stairs though it makes sense considering how shape-oriented I am together with my obsessive love of squares. I'll probably post another set of stairs, or two even, today.

AnDiOgF - The head is rather bursting with ideas at this very moment so you might be waiting a few years I'm afraid. But hey, who knows. I obviously like the image myself or I wouldn't've taken it.

Bock - The old market? You don't mean Lidl do you? The biggest of the old markets was holding an exhibition while I was in town. But I bought some food around and expecially looked at a lot. Unfortunately I had two cameras out of batteries the day I was in the right frame of mind to photograph all the food.

Patricia - Thanks. As you might guess it's even better in the flesh. And it's a lot of fun to have people come along for the ride - if ya know what I mean.

Sam - Thanks, and apologies for the lack of explanatory notes; I was trying to balance the excitement of wanting to share the holiday with wanting to actually have the holiday. That boat is a galleon constructed for Roman Polanski's "Pirates". But the other photo you mention has a much more interesting story. I might post a few more photos today and then drop in little accompanying notes on all of them.

These are a treat to see. The place looks great. I particularly like how they've painted the saints bright orange on the walls of the building in # 17.

What was that old-fashioned boat about? That's way cool.

You've been spending your time well, I can see. Thanks for bringing us along on the trip. You have a good eye for interesting stairs.
